ALRANZ Stall and AGM

ALRANZ had a busy week with a stall at the 2013 Women's Studies Association conference (26-28 April) in Wellington, its AGM on 30 April, where two new exec members were elected, as well as the launch by Dame Margaret Sparrow of Alison McCulloch's book "Fighting to Choose: The Abortion Rights Struggle in New Zealand". At our blog, you can find some pictures of the WSANZ stall and links to video of the book launch. There'll be more in our next newsletter, due out in May.

40 Years Since Roe

On 22 January 1973, the US Supreme Court ruled in the Roe v Wade case that American women have a constitutional right to abortion. Isn't it time New Zealand caught up and decriminalised abortion here. Check out our 21 January media release.
